The source of our spirituality is the Gospel lived from a historical perspective and according to the spirit of St. Augustine through:
INTERIORITY AND THE SEARCH FOR GOD St. Augustine viewed interiority as fullness of being and fullness of life in which self-knowledge opens us to a greater knowledge of God and embraces the richness of the created world. “In this way, the Spirit, turning to himself, contains the beauty of the universe, which takes it name from unity” (St. Augustine, On Order 1,2,3). We embrace the way of Augustinian interiority as a process of ongoing growth in knowledge and personal wholeness open to transcendence and to dialogue with God and others.
FRATERNAL LIFE Fraternal life leads us to live in unity of mind and heart intent upon God in order to promote the unity he wishes to restore among all men and women. Christ is the center of this unity and communion among us sisters, for which we strive to create communities which are open to mission, engaged in dialogue, united in restless search, sharing hurts and joys, generous in forgiveness, mutual support and a loving attention to each one’s needs.
SERVICE TO THE CHURCH The call of the Spirit is unceasing and linked to history. For this reason, faithfulness to our charism demands from each of us an attentive listening and a total availability to be sent where our apostolic commitments ask us to make present the REIGN OF GOD, that is, a reign of universal fraternity, love, justice and peace. Our specific mission to evangelize through education and service to human needs calls us to a preference for areas where we can serve the poor and needy and a preference for mission territory.
From its origins, our congregation has drawn strength from the source of Augustinian Spirituality and our three founders embody different values in a harmonized unity:
Querubina Samarra: restless and persevering; symbolizes for us fidelity in search of truth and is an example of missionary availability.
Mónica Mujal: generous in service, peacemaker, inspired teacher; she is our model of an educator.
Clara Cantó: prayerful; teaches us to make God absolute in our lives and to interiorize the historical moment.
Faithful to this heritage and challenged by the mission of Jesus, we are called to be prophetic witnesses of:
● Life and communion ● Hope and joy ●solidarity, justice and peace
Beneath the gaze of Mary whom we invoke as Mother of Good Counsel.
